In this era of rapid development in artificial intelligence technology, everyone should master AI tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Teachers and students, in particular, should leverage AI to improve teaching and learning outcomes. The Hong Kong Generative Artificial Intelligence Research Center (HKGAI) was established under the InnoHK Innovation Hong Kong R&D Platform, dedicated to building a large language model tailored to the local context of Hong Kong. Recently, HKGAI launched a trial version of its self-developed intelligent chatbot application, HKChat, aimed at providing immediate, efficient, and locally flavoured intelligent services for Hong Kong. This event invited Dr Huang Hongying, Chief Officer for Mainland Affairs at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Chief Operating Officer of HKGAI, to share insights on-site.
