FAQ
1. What is ‘Innovative Education’?
‘Innovation education’ is the process of enhancing teaching quality with innovative ideas, methods, strategies or tools. Apart from curriculum design, teaching activities, technologies application, equipment and infrastructure, assessment of learning effectiveness, ‘innovation education’ can be adopted in an intangible level, such as cultivating students’ 21st century skills. Even it is an existing method or strategy, as long as the teacher can adjust and transform it according to students’ situation and achieve a specific teaching goal of 21st century education, it can be regarded as kind of ‘innovative education’.
It’s important that this education transformation is backed up by sound education theories and evaluated the effectiveness by research or data analysis.
2. Is applying eTools equivalent to ‘Innovative Education’?
eTool is only one of the means to implement ‘innovative education’. What teachers should focus on is the use of innovative pedagogies to stimulate students’ learning motivation with fruitful and effective learning experience, and the way to cater for students’ diversified learning need with suitable teaching strategies, so as to facilitate personalised learning.
