"The Education University of Hong Kong has received funding from the Quality Education Fund to launch the "Learning Cantonese Opera and Development of Cultural and Life Education" project in 2022. It provides 40 sessions of training courses, totaling 120 hours, for primary and secondary school music teachers. In the project, traditional Cantonese opera is used as a medium to promote the development of life and cultural education. In addition to conserving and inheriting traditional arts, it also enables students to further understand Chinese culture, enhance their identification with Chinese cultural identity, cultivate positive values and attitudes, and achieve the goal of holistic development. This book documents the implementation process of the project, including the teaching content, lesson plans designed by the participating teachers, and student essays, hoping to provide resources and experiences for other schools and teachers to assist in Cantonese opera and life education teaching.
