STAR platform's new and enhanced functions:
Newly launched section: "Student Self-selected Assessments"
Students can select relevant assessment tasks according to their own interests and learning targets:
- Language subjects: Papers based on topics and divided into Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing tasks
- Mathematics: Papers based on units organised by school level
After entering the "Student Self-selected Assessments" section, the interface clearly presents learning resources and assessments under each theme. Students can choose and use them according to their needs.
Upon the completion of assessment, students can obtain instant assessment results on computer-marked questions to better understand their strengths and weaknesses.
Teachers can view about students' results from the self-selected assessments so as to provide guidance and support. Additionally, teachers can give feedback to students' answers on open-ended questions.
Remark:
The corresponding paper review and report functions are similar to teacher's assignments, making it easy for students and teachers familiar with the STAR platform to adopt.
