Hong Kong Education City (EdCity) aims to promote the development of digital education by actively expanding relevant services and providing comprehensive professional support for teachers. EdCity integrates a diverse range of high-quality teaching resources and has launched the new “Digital Education Teacher Professional Development” series: EdAcademy. This series covers five topics: Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Big Data, Cloud Computing, and Digital Literacy, encompassing five key applications: Teaching, Learning, Assessment, Research, and Administration.
New "Teacher AI Literacy Professional Development Pathway"
To align with the Education Bureau’s “Blueprint for Digital Education Development in Primary and Secondary Schools”, EdCity has launched a systematic “Teacher AI Literacy Professional Development Pathway” in the 2026/27 school year. This framework features six core development domains and offers tailored learning pathways for both individual progression and school-wide implementation. It provides teachers with a clear, structured ladder for competency development. To keep pace with the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, the content will be constantly updated. The initiative aims to help teachers continuously enhance their AI literacy and practical skills, empowering schools to foster an innovative, sustainable digital education culture and prepare for the future of education.
